Share the Love – With a Valentine Card

The time of hearts and the color pink are upon us. Embrace this Valentine’s Day and make a handwritten card for your loved ones this year. There’s still more than enough time to get crafty!

This activity isn’t just for toddlers or elementary students (even though it is a great way to keep them occupied), you can tastefully make a card at any age. I hope these pictures will give you some inspiration:

Don’t forget to add your own personal touch, and have fun with it! Add your favorite poem or inside joke to make it special. It’s what’s on the inside that counts!

Happy (almost) Valentines Day!

Share the Love – Holiday Cards

It’s the last month of the decade and the holidays are right around the corner! Spread some holiday cheer and share your excitement with a personalized card this holiday season.

There are so many tools on the internet to help you to create a beautiful and unique card- including Hallmark, Canva, and Tinyprints. These services allow you to either make printed or ecards:

With each site you can choose the layout of your card and then add a personalized message or picture. Allowing you to be very creative with your card. They also each have options for Christmas, Hanukkah, and New Years.

It’s always nice to take a step back from a regular text or social media message to create something fun to share with friends or family for the holidays.

Carve into Literature

You can always add a little book inspiration with whatever you do! Including Halloween! Pumpkin carving has always been a must do fall activity in my house and each year we like to spice it up with a creative theme of some sort. This year…book inspired jack o lanterns!

How fun will it be for you to share your favorite stories with others as your pumpkin lights up the night?

Here are a few of my inspirations taken from a couple of my favorite stories throughout my childhood:

Don’t be afraid to be creative! Come up with your own inspiration through your favorite book or character.
